How Does the Boys & Girls Club Support Local Businesses?

We currently serve over 280 Club members daily, providing a space intentionally created for learning, growth, and connection.

By providing reliable, affordable childcare, The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County empowers parents and guardians to work full-time with peace of mind, knowing their children are safe, engaged, and well cared for after school, during school breaks, and throughout the summer.

Our support for working families helps strengthen the local workforce and, in turn, the businesses that rely on them every day.

Thanks to YOU, we met our match!

About GivingTuesday:

Every year, our Club is challenged with raising money to fund our operations.  Nearly 60% of the income we raise comes directly from our community - individuals, businesses, churches, and our special events and fundraisers. In 2016, we launched a new fundraising campaign centered around the worldwide GivingTuesday movement.  The GivingTuesday movement comes after Black Friday and Cyber Monday and challenges people around the world to give back to others. In one day, nonprofits around the world challenge their supporters to raise as much as they can in 24 hours on GivingTuesday.

About the Club

We serve nearly 700 school-aged youth each year through our after-school and summer programs that promote academic success, cultivate healthy lifestyles and nurture good character and citizenship.
