Year-round Programming

  • Art

    • At the Club, we love to see the individual creativity and imagination of our members. Our Art program seeks to give a variety of opportunities to try new mediums, develop new skills, and experiment with new art techniques and ideas. Grades K through 2 work on guided projects and activities that target gross and fine motor skill development, comprehension of abstract concepts, and exploration of personal imagination and abilities. Grades 3 and up explore history, techniques, varied mediums, and the importance of personal expression in art. Each group’s time is designed to encourage both group and individual creativity and achievement with one-of-a-kind craft projects and art experiments. Through this program, members learn that the world of art is a wonderful way to observe details, communicate feelings, and enjoy expressing personal talents. Traditional and unique art methods, materials, and displays have made this a special time where many members discover their uniquely creative abilities.

      School Year Programming

  • Art Club

    • Members will be able to develop their artistic skills more in a smaller group setting.  During their time in Art Club, they will explore new mediums, practice different techniques, and collaborate with our Art Director on projects to be used both around the Club and donor gifts.

  • Theater Club

    • Theater Club is offered as an 8 week program where members will learn the ins and outs of a theater production, both the acting and management aspects.  By the end of the Club, participants will perform a short play to showcase the skills they have learned throughout their time.  The goal of the Club is to be an outlet for members to engage more fully in self-expression and exploration as they try new things.

  • Lyricism 101

    • Lyricism 101 gives teens an opportunity to tell their stories, build community and express their artistic visions through the music of hip-hop culture and the culture of the cipher.  With this program, we commit to cultivating and amplifying the powerful, formidable voices of Club teens. Recognizing the power of literary arts, Lyricism 101 positions Club members as torchbearers and experts in the ancient oral poetic traditions that continue to thrive around the world. Thus, teens may also see themselves as the experts – and leaders of positive change – in their own lives and communities.
